Mary Ashford and Barbara Forrest, both 20 years old, were murdered on May 27, but 157 years apart. In the final hours of their lives, both women went to a dance, met a friend, and were killed in England’s Pype Hayes Park by men whose last name was Thornton. In both the cases, the accused was acquitted.
